To play, explore, get messy, and create—even if you think you don’t know how.
In my studio in Tachlovice, I welcome small groups (max 4 people) for an intimate, relaxed session.
No pressure, no expectations, this is about expression, not perfecion.We’ll fill pages in a sketchbook using acrylic paint and simple mixed media techniques—collage, pastel, pencil—guided by playful exercises and prompts.
I’ll show you simple ways to start, keep going, and not lose the desire to create, with techniques you can easily continue using at home and to develop your own work.
You don’t need to know how to draw.
You’ll leave with:
your own sketchbook, filled at your own pace (completely unique)
a workbook with prompts and ideas to continue at home
and most importantly: the desire to keep creating
Even 5 minutes a day can change everything.

I’m Hélène,
an artist based in Prague, with a studio in Tachlovice.
I came to painting later in life, after 25 years working in the film industry.Because of that, I know what it feels like to start from scratch—and how powerful it can be.
My approach to art is simple: it doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful.
I work in an abstract and semi-abstract way, focusing on colour, texture, and experimentation rather than realistic painting.I work daily in my sketchbooks, building a practice that is playful, imperfect, and alive—and I love helping others find their own way into it.
Practical information
The workshop takes place in my studio in Tachlovice.
There are a few steps to access the space, and we’ll be working standing around a large table.
(We’ll take a short break, and there’s space to sit and relax—inside or outside.)
In summer, the studio stays pleasantly cool, even on hot days.
There are toilets available, and you can park just outside the studio.
Aprons are provided, but I recommend wearing comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a bit messy—acrylic paint can be sneaky.
