Hello there I have to tell you, writing was never really my thing. Painting is my thing. It occupies my mind most of the time. I’m in the studio every weekday. Not painting from morning to evening, but almost everything I do there revolves around the creation of paintings somehow: experimenting, learning, filming videos, framing, admin… Even taking care of the space somehow feels part of the process. Over the last few weeks, I launched my first in-person workshop. It’s still very much at the beginning, but I’m proud of what I created and I have faith that it will slowly find its audience. On the YouTube front, I switched to videos every fortnight and something shifted this year. Instead of creating for the purpose of making a video, I’m now documenting what I’m genuinely creating in the studio, and I enjoy the process much more this way. Unexpectedly, observing how I paint and work is teaching me a lot about my own creative process. It gives me more structure, but also feeds the work itself.
