Hello Subscriber First Name

Hope your summer is going beautifully.

I wish I could tell you I’m writing to you from a hammock on the lake beach, inspired by the view, but more often than not I’m stuck in the office for my day job, sunshine or not, just dreaming of it.

One “No” and one big “Yes!”

Even if busy at work, I managed to apply for an online exhibition and got rejected—but I also submitted work for Curatory Magazine, and I got in! 🥳

It’s not out yet, but I think it might be when I send you my next newsletter.

This challenge, while slightly outside my comfort zone, was a great push to finally get my artist statement and bio down on paper.

Now I have these stories ready for whatever comes next.

Getting ready for the art fair

Lately, my main focus (and often my daydreams at work, I must admit) is the Open Art Fest, which will be my very first art fair, happening on the last weekend of September in Prague.

Every evening after work and every weekend has been spent finishing paintings in progress.

As I write this, I still have three small ones on my table waiting for final touches, and some larger ones in the studio drying before varnishing.

At first, it annoyed me to know I wouldn’t be able to create as many as I planned, but then I decided it’s better to have a wall full of favourites than to include work that doesn’t truly excite me. I may have fewer pieces than I imagined… but I truly love each one.

I’ll be sending you all the details about the Open Art Fest two weeks before the date — I might even have a few complimentary tickets to share!

In my latest YouTube video, I’m sharing my home studio setup — a cosy bedroom corner that’s been buzzing every evening lately.

You’ll get a quick peek at my organising tips and behind-the-scenes.

I don’t have much time to film new content right now, but I already have plenty of ideas waiting for when I’m back to full-time creating.
